My goal for this poster was to take some of the “stuff” rolling around in my head every day and organize it into usable data. I find that on a daily basis I make a lot of lists. I wanted to see what would happen if I took these lists and laid them out together. I also included some of my thoughts and feelings about accomplishing the list items. Lists are always better when you can cross things off as “finished,” but sometimes the path to achieving this is not as straightforward as it should be. In fact, often one list item spawns multiple other list items. I used a large square format and filled it with very small type, to illustrate how overwhelming all of these lists and the effort to achieve them can be. As an added layer of interpretation, I created icons as a way to indicate things that might not be readily apparent in the list format alone.
